We decided to move closer to ASU West, where Dave's attending school, and my job at a hospital in Glendale. We found a beautiful home to rent in El Mirage through Jillian's sister, Lindsey, and her husband, Ryan. It's a 3 bedroom house and oh-so-much bigger and better than the 400 square foot apartment we were in!
On the day of the move we got some help from Dave's long time friend and best man, Gabe. It never rains in Phoenix. On the day we moved (Nov. 30) it rained ALL DAY! This meant that everything we put into the Uhaul was muddy and we couldn't sit anything down or it would get wet! The poor guys also had to carry my "free" desk that I really love, which weighs about a ton and is extremely massive. This was definitely the most difficult task of the day because you have to maneuver the desk so that it's on end in order to barely wedge it through the doorway. Dave and Gabe were able to do this successfully! (thank goodness)
The moving day was one of the longest days I've had and it ended up being worth all of the hassle. We have great family and friends that have helped us SO much! Thanks to everyone, including Ryan and Lindsey who moved us into the house after such a long and tiring day! We love our new home. Visitors welcome :)
